SSI’s Classified Dive program offers adapted training for people with reduced mobility and/or sensory impairments, allowing them to dive accompanied by one or more Classified Dive Buddies or a Classified Dive Professional.
Thanks to this program, people with disabilities or limited mobility – who have been authorized by a physician – can experience scuba diving. Beginning in pool or confined water, they can also dive in open water.
This student-centered program is designed specifically for those who are unable to meet all the skill requirements of the SSI Open Water Diver course independently. Our SSI Classified Diving Instructors are trained to tailor the Open Water Diver program and its training materials to the specific needs of each student.
